Christa Buchanan

Practice Manager

Fant Office

Christa joined Counseling for Life in early 2021. Her experience includes 20 years of  medical billing and office management. Christa loves spending time with her grandkids and camping with her husband and family.

Madelyn Tomberlin

Medical Assistant

Fant Office

Madelyn recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and is the medical assistant to our PMHNP, Thomas Cushman, in addition to her responsibilities at the front desk. Madelyn spends her free time rescuing animals, playing piano, and painting.

Tabetha Norris

Office Support

Tabetha joined Counseling for Life in early 2023. She moved to South Carolina 10 years ago with her husband and 4 children. Tabetha loves music and playing video and board games with friends and family.

Jessica Allee

Office Manager

Jessica joined Counseling for Life in the summer of 2022 after moving here from Florida. Jessica enjoys music, food, hiking and exploring the Upstate area with her husband.

Ellen

Consultant

Ellen works as a consultant to the practice, drawing from her
extensive professional history that includes 25 years as a healthcare executive and other experience in business consulting, technology, and farm management. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends.

Shimmer

Farm Mascot

Shimmer is a sweet boy that arrived at the Farm location as a feral stray in 2025. After lots of treats and love, he has become a permanent fixture at the farm and now spends his days napping in the sunshine.

Diana

Farm Mascot

Diana is one of several chickens that can be found at the Farm location. She is seven years old and enjoys cuddles, catching bugs, and patrolling the farm with her flock.

Mr. and Mrs. Goose

Farm Mascots (seasonal)

A devoted pair of Canada Geese have chosen the farm location as their nesting place for the past three years. Since these geese mate for life, they return each Spring to lay eggs and even bring their grown kids home with them! You may see them swimming on the pond or relaxing with their babies in the yard.
