Michaela Tomberlin -

Michaela has been in the counseling field since 1993, working in both public and private agencies serving a wide variety of populations. She holds a Master's Degree in Counseling from Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina. Michaela is licensed as a Professional Counselor in both South Carolina and North Carolina and holds the Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor designation in South Carolina. Currently the Clinical Director at Counseling for Life, Michaela opened the practice in 2010 and continues to oversee its growth at both locations.

Marllyn Duncan -

Marllyn has been in the counseling field since 1988, serving as an educator, school counselor, and private practitioner. She holds a Master's Degree in Counseling from Clemson University. Marllyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor. She and her family reside in Pendleton, SC.

Angie Gilstrap -

Angie completed her bachelor's degree at Anderson University and then her Master's in Counseling Education at Clemson University. Since graduating in 2007, she has experience working in an agency that specialized in childhood trauma and in private practice. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Supervisor and lives in Townville. Angie feels blessed to help others find their light, hope, and peace through tough times.

Michelle completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Anderson University and received her Master of Education in Counseling and Community Services at Clemson University. Michelle’s experience includes agency work with childhood and adult survivors of trauma and abuse and working with schools and school districts to educate and prevent child abuse and promote healthy relationships.
Sandra Campbell -

Sandra Stone Campbell is a Licensed Professional Counselor and was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Carolina and master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Sandra specializes in working with children and adult survivors of trauma, specifically sexual abuse and sexual assault. Sandra also has experience and enjoys working with adults and children as they navigate depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment disorder and bipolar disorder. Sandra is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful boys that keep them busy.
Paige Gossett -

​Paige earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She has worked in a variety of counseling settings utilizing Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and play therapy to assist patients in reaching their counseling goals. She has experience in treating anxiety, depression, self-harm, social and relational issues, family and couple conflict resolution, and adjustment disorders. She believes that true “wellness” is found when each domain of our lives is in equilibrium and moving in a positive direction. Her goal as a therapist is to help patients find a balance of healing, purpose, and direction through integrative approaches.
Whitney Smith -

Whitney Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor who grew up in Anderson, moved away to complete her education, and returned in 2014 to live closer to family. Whitney received her Bachelor's from Queens University of Charlotte where she studied music therapy and her Master’s of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Winston-Salem State University. She believes in a client-centered approach to counseling where each person is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Along with her husband and two children, Whitney finds peace spending time in nature and meaning through community service.
Shannon Davenport -

Shannon received her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in 2013. Shannon enjoys coming alongside her clients in their personal life journeys. When working with individuals, she loves coming together to create a plan and celebrating progress as a team! Shannon also has a particular affection for families who are "specially" blended such as kinship, foster, and adoptive families. Her passion is to help parents build strong, lasting bonds with their children that will provide the foundation for healthy life-long relationships. Parenting is the most important thing you will ever do! Whether it's encouraging you through your individual life experiences, or working with your family as a whole; Shannon is excited to get to know and work with you!

Michaele has a Bachelor of Science degree from Wofford University and a Master of Counseling from Eastern New Mexico University. She has over 15 years of experience working with military communities and their families. Michaele has developed and led multiple groups that empowered resiliency, enhanced marriage communication, and educated populations about interpersonal violence. She uses a strength-based approach that integrates various therapeutic styles to meet the needs of her patients.
Jonnett Barrick -

Jonnett received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She is certified in EMDR and uses other therapeutic techniques in order to help people move through the injustice that they have faced. She has a passion for working with people who have faced trauma, are suffering from PTSD, and for working with adoptive families. Helping families to navigate this wonderful, but also difficult, transition hits close to home as she has two adopted children herself. Jonnett lived in Ethiopia for 8 years and was very impacted by the lack of mental health services available to the community. Now that she is living back in the States, she is passionate about helping all people receive access to mental health care. In her free time, Jonnett loves to spend time with her husband, three children, and her dog named Blue. She also loves to travel, go camping, read, and sleep.
Annie Mitchell -

Annie Mitchell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Clemson University, as well as her Master’s and Education Specialist degrees in Counselor Education from Clemson University. She has served as a school counselor in an elementary school since 2016. Annie is passionate about supporting children and adolescents as they navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She is dedicated to helping all populations build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and thrive in every area of life. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
Stacie Peterson -

Stacie earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Services with an emphasis on Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from Southern Wesleyan University. She then returned to Southern Wesleyan to complete her Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. Stacie has worked in private practice and the school system, addressing a variety of clinical issues. She believes in a person-centered approach to therapy that tailors treatment to meet the needs of the individual in a collaborative, compassionate, and encouraging manner. Stacie has a passion for helping individuals heal from past and present trauma, and is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Her goal as a therapist is to help facilitate a healing experience for individuals while they find peace, personal growth, and overall well-being.
